The Nazis killed multitudes, including political and religious opponents, members of the resistance, elites of conquered nations, and homosexuals, but always based these murders on the belief, actions and status of those victims. Different criteria applied only to the murder of the handicapped, Jews, and the Sinti & Roma ("Gypsies"). Members of these groups could not escape their fate by changing their behavior or belief. They were selected simply because they existed.

This is a community specifically for information pertaining to, discussion about, remembrance of and examination of the Holocaust during World War II, one of the darkest and most vile acts perpetrated in the history of mankind. It is of the utmost importance to NEVER FORGET what took place in order to prevent such genocide from happening again.


This community is moderated.

This is a Holocaust Memorial community. Members are expected to treat each other with respect in all discussions. Trolling and/or other disrespectful behavior in comments or posts which do not honor the focus of the community will be removed and the user banned. There may be no other warning than this.
